Make a color print at your own pace. There are different techniques, from one plate or multiple plates. It takes some thinking at first, but as you go you learn how it works.
A small theoretical introduction and then let's get started.
Advanced students can continue with a project at their own pace or start their own business.
You can start in the morning and continue for another afternoon, then opt for an entire workshop. If you don't have that much time, opt for a half day!
We have 2 persat our disposal!

Lithography is a printing technique based on...rd on it principle that water and fat/oil repel each other. In the 19th century this technique was applied using stones (lithos). The result is a nice, smooth print with many shades of gray visible.
But it can also be done differently, with home/garden/kitchen remedies.
We work with the same fact that water and fat repel each other. However, we use pencils, seap, whatnot, instead of the official graphics tools.And we use Coke, yes the Coca Cola!
The aim is to make a 2-colour print this afternoon! Of course we work in quantities! Maybe a nice idea for a greeting card?

Workshop Patronen ontwerpen en papier bedrukken
1e deel/start
Maak je eigen patroon. Je kunt deze op papier/ behang drukken of op textiel.
We beginnen met een oefening en uitleg over de opbouw van een patroon met hoogdruk. Omdat we een blockstempel zelf maken, moeten we ook rekening houden met de manier waarop je met de hand, afdrukt.
Een blockstempel maken we van diverse materialen, wel hoogdruk.
Na een aantal oefeningen kun je je eigen lap/rol papier drukken. Misschien is er tijd om textiel te bedrukken. Technieken van het drukken, inkt, ontwerp leer je op deze dag.
Daarnaast leer je op een andere manier kijken, werken, denken. We werken veelal staand en op deze manier werken geeft al een heel andere gevoel.

2e deel/start
Over de invulling wordt nog nagedacht. Het is de bedoeling dat er een vervolg op deel 1 komt, waarbij we een blockpatroon snijden dat repeterend is. Op ambachtelijke wijze maken we een patroon.
